James “Luke” Gattis – President and Founder

M.S. in Applied Mathematics -University of Colorado at Boulder 2001-2003
B.A.in Biochemistry and Mathematics -University of Colorado at Boulder, 1997-2001

Luke Gattis obtained undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Immediately thereafter, Luke received a Master’s of Science in Applied Mathematics, with his thesis focusing on statistical models. Upon completion of his schooling in 2003, Luke worked as an Actuary for Blue Cross of California until 2005. Immediately thereafter, Luke began working as a consultant for Insight Health Corp and tutoring for Hunter Programs. It was then that Luke decided to pursue his lifelong passion: teaching. In 2008 Gattis Solutions was founded.

Marissa Claycamp – Vice President of Youth Development

B.A. in Sociology – UCLA, 1999-2003

Marissa received her BA from UCLA in 2003.  She realized how much she enjoyed interacting with young students during her time spent working for Balfour graduation and recognition products.  Having always excelled in school, tutoring was a opportunity she felt passionate about.  She began tutoring Algebra in 2007 and has helped students in a variety of other subjects since.

Brittney Perkowski – Educational Consultant

B.S. in Business Management – United States Air Force Academy, 2004-2007

Raised in Laguna Niguel, California, Captain Perkowski graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2007 where she was captain of the varsity Soccer team her junior and senior years. After receiving her commission as a second lieutenant she started her active duty career in the Manpower and Personnel Flight as Section Commander. In that capacity, she managed the administration work for 300+ active duty military, 30 civilians and 5 Numbered Air Force contractors. Captain Brittney (Britt) Perkowski is currently the Deputy of Fitness Reconditioning (RECONDO) of the Physical Education Department, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO. Captain Perkowski is an instructor of cadet fitness education and is responsible for day-to-day preparation and execution of fitness testing and evaluation.  She has been instrumental in the formation of the teaching curriculum employed by Gattis Solutions.
